BSNL Cellone free gprs configuration settings for the north zone
Yesterday we have written about how to configure free gprs settings specially for the west zone for bsnl cellone subscribers.
Today we are sharing the free gprs settings for bsnl cellone user in the north circle of india. We have already tested the settings it is working for us.
Free BSNL GPRS settings for north zone
ACCESS POINT NAME: BSNL PORTAL
ACCESS POINT: portalnorth.cellone.in or gprsnorth.cellone.in PROXY: enabled
PROXY ADDRESS: 10.132.194.196
PROXY PORT: 8080
AUTHENTICATION: normal
USERNAME: blank
PASSWORD: blank
HOMEPAGE: wap.cellone.in
We hope the above gprs settings works for you but if it does not please let us know, In case of any problems related with the configuration of your mobile handset for gprs let us know through comments.

I am using the setting as you said, but it is deducting my balance massively. It’s not free !!
This setting was working fine up to may 2008. But since june 2008 it is deducting the balance. Please suggest how to use it for free.

Following are the BSNL Setting for GPRS in north ZONE, try any of these and reply if some of them are not working.

In fact Cellone doesn’t provide Free GPRS always. It very rare. This is only if BSNL wants to attract more customers. The free service may be for month or weeks or even days.
When GPRS is free, this works only for Cellone user only. You have to buy extra SIM if you want to use that facility. If you have not activate you gprs then you have to first activate it and then download settings form bsnl web site http://www.celloneindia.com/ or do it manually on your handset.
After GPRS free trial is off you will be charged with heavy amount for per KB. So you must be care full.
Bur there is chance. You may recharge with monthly activation with very cheap amount or worth RS 175 + 12% service tax= 197 RS approx and no hidden charges with unlimited GPRS access to both handset and you laptop or PC and having speed upto 160 kbps.
I use this service and well it works for me.
Note: Cellone(BSNL) charge money as per KB in roaming circle irrespective of you are using monthly activation. So be carefull if you are not in Home network.

I had done a GPRS connection in North Bengal. It was working fine. I m now in south India, Vellore(TN) to be precise. The GPRS does not work. Is it that the internet connection does not work while roaming or should some configerations be changed.
