On the repeated request of the users for the free settings of mobile internet by the reliance India users, I am posting this to solve their problem. I hope this works as I have not tested this free reliance mobile internet setting due to time constraints.
Reliance India however launched the mobile internet as an introductory offer and charges a mere 10p per 10kb of the network you use. To access the mobile internet you need to select the RMW option and under that option select more services and then finally mobile internet. For the convenience of the users reliance has tagged the application available on the network with only two symbols where “U” indicates that you will need to pay for the application if want to use it and the symbol “>” indicates that this service carries no content in it.

Before putting the settings specified below you need to ensure two things. Firstly that you have carefully plugged in your phone to the pc via an usb cable or via Bluetooth. Secondly you need to have the phone modem drivers properly installed so that your pc can recognize your phone as a modem.

This post may benefit the s40 users because by following the steps given below the user can use the java programs which require access to the internet. The s40 nokia phones don’t allow user to configure proxy settings, moreover in the recent versions of the series 40 phones nokia even removed the option of specifying proxy server for the access points.
So in order to get the java applications running your nokia phone must have xml and provisioning documents which you can download from the specified link given below

The file you will get from here is zipped and when you unzip it, you will see two files namely NokiaJAVAProxy.wml and NokiaJAVAProxy.prov
How to get started:
1. Using the send file option in the pc suit send the NokiaJAVAProxy.prov file into your phone and please note that don’t copy paste the file as it will not work this way. Another way to do this is send this file from another phone to your phone via Bluetooth so that it accepts the incoming file as incoming message.
2. As soon as you open the received file, the phone will recognize the format and prompt you to save the settings.
