The pc application of skype does not need any introduction. It’s one of the most widely used VoIP software and now skype is available for mobiles but currently it is in the beta phase and is undergoing many of the advancements but its developers have ensure that it has all the basic functionalities in its beta mode. Skype Beta is available for free and you just need to install it in your phone to start making free calls.
Feature of Skype Beta:
1. Skype is one the few application which provide the feature of group chat over mobile internet. The group chat was however available in all the pc versions but skype has brought this feature to mobile phones also.
2. With Skype Beta you can also send messages to your other skype friends for free and whats good is that any offline message you have read from mobile will not appear when you log into skype via your pc.
3. Skype Beta works only with the phones having internet connection and if by chance you talk in good amounts and then you should consider having a flat data package so that no matter how much you chat with your friends you will have a same predetermined phone bill.
4. The interface of Skype Beta is so clean and almost like the computer application and there is no need of reading any manual. It’s all so self explanatory, must say a very well designed mobile application.
There are quite some good feature but some people have reported that the group chat feature does not work properly which is the only bug discovered so far. I don’t know if that is actually a bug.
