There is nothing as good as getting free call minutes and one such facility is provided by skype. I need not explain or there is no need to introduce you to skype. It’s already a huge hit among the masses. But the application can prove really useful only if you have flat data charges or you have an iphone and access to a wi-fi spot. Only then you can reap the full benefits of skype.
But the problem lies in the fact that if you own an iphone, then there is very less probability that you will not jailbreak it and if you jailbreak your iphone then you will experience crash issues with skype. This can be really irrating that as soon as you launch the application it gets crashed and an error message is displayed on your screen. Or just imagine the situation when you are in a call and skype crashes, how annoying that can be but you will have to bear with it, as I already said, there is nothing better than getting free call minutes.
Now there is a solution that is being released recently to fix this crash issue with skype. To bring to your notice, if you don’t know the crash is caused by a Cydia package called Mobile Substrate that keeps running in the background and is used by many applications like VoiceOverIP, Backgrounder, Winterboard applications. To fix this issue that you need to do is just go to Cydia and upgrade Mobile Substrate to v0.9.2805-1 (or newer). This version is fully compatible with Skype and should resolve the crash issue.
