Yes , you can easily transfer any of your messages already residing in the phone memory causing your phone to process various operations at a slow speed due to the memory usage by the sms messages.
I have illustrated the entire procedure to move your sms messages in single with a four step below.
How to do it:
- Make sure that Messaging memory is set to Phone Memory (Messages -> Settings -> Other -> Memory -> Phone memory).
- With FExplorer, go to E:\System\Mail and delete the whole dir. Not just the content, the whole dir.
- Go to Messages -> Settings -> Other -> Memory and select “MMC”
- Now you will be prompted if you would like to copy the messages to your “new” location.

On my nokia 3230 there is no option of selecting the memory as Phone memory or mmc. Any other way of doing it? Also tell me how can i move a msg manually through the explorer, just tell me the directory where msgs are saved. I have a zip file in “my folders” and there is no save or move option and i want to save it on mmc.

i want to shift my sms from phone memory to mmc….but i want my existing sms in mmc …..is it possible to do so

about nokia 3230 u all people need a software called as msv drive so that all ur new msgs will be transfered to ur mmc & not ur phone memory ur msgs in phone memory are safe & if u need them again all u have to do is just remove ur mmc & then access the message
