How to Unlock or Hack memory card when you forgot your memory card password.
Some times it happens that you forgot the password of your memory card and you have lots of your important data in your phone.
So there are two types of methods for recovering the password of your memory card with the help of nokia phone.
For Nokia s60 1st and 2nd edition phones.
1. First Install FExplorer in your phone memory.
2. Got to drive C: , you will find a file called mmcstore
3. Send it to your pc directly and open it in notepad or rename the file.
4. At the end of the file you will find your password.
For Nokia S60 3rd Phones, Nokia N-Series and Nokia E-Series
There is almost no way yet known to hack the memory card password in case of these types of phone but there is a way to do it some of the s60 3rd edition phones and almost all the E-series phones.
The remote lock option in E-Series phone allws you to unlock your phone by sending a sms.
The only thing you have to do is to activate this feature by going to Tools | Settings | Security | Phone and SIM | Allow remote lock menu. The password of your memory card will be your remote lock message.
So you have to just send a sms containing your remote lock message that will automatically change your memory card passsword.

I forgot my password for my rs mmc.
yet, I’ve reset my 3230.
you said that the password was store in phone memory (c:\system\mmcstore)

Respected brothers n sisters,
The Security Modules in Symbian OS when get Malaculus it then causes problem like MEMORY CARD INVALID PASSWORD.
TO Remove it please follow thse steps:-
Step 1: go to setting and then security tab.
Step 2: put pin code i.e: 0000 by default. and remember to turn it on the pin code request.
Step 3: now try to format the MEMORY CARD using password: 0000
Step 4: Take a shower.
If you find any other Issues related to Symbian OS.

I had a virus in my Nokia 6600 mobile, I wen to a Mobile store and the rep over there formatted the phone but not the MMC, as he removed the MMC before formattting the phone. But when we try to plug the MMC back in to the phone, it’s asking for Password. Where in I very clearly remember I didnt put any password when I bought this phone. The problem is I have extremely crucial data in that card.

Thank you your trick worked fine for me, this is my story:
I have Nokia E50, one day in the morning I found my phone asking me for the memory password, and I tried all the passwords but, It’s not working!!!.
I tried to format the memory. and Oops the memory is corrupted. I tried to insert it to a camera, pc, etc. but it’s not working.. but today by your trick it works fine. I lost the data but at least I don’t have to buy new memory card

I’ve never allocated 1 though!
I’ve tried the remedies suggested here, but they have not worked–formatting the card is not an option.

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover the password in the latest S60 phones. The only way that I know so far is by reformatting the memory card. It can be done from Memory Card application by selecting Options | Format memory card menu. Of course, you will lose all your data in the memory card…

Its possible in third edition devices as well but your phone should be hacked but I am also searching solution for s40. Has anybody got it?
