HTC Hero Launched In India For Rs. 31,990

Now HTC Hero a third Android powered smartphone is now available in India at 31.990. The phone has a 3.2 inchs wide HVGA TFT-LCD touchscreen with resolution of 320 x 280. The phone represents a sleek design and brings an intuitive and seamles device experience. The phone is launched with some attractive schemes from Airtel discussed later in the article.

The new phone Hero runs on Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz processor. It has 288MB RAM and 512MB ROM. The TFT screen will use capacitive technology and will support multi-touch. The 5MP camera comes with auto focus feature. It has a trackball with enter button and a GPS receiver.

Although the specifications of the phone is similar to the one launched in Europe and you will find all the specifications in the previous articles. Still some of the important features include Flash support for playing internet videos, the phone can download Applications from Android market, it can communication facilities like Bluetooth ,Mini USB ,WiFi are supported.

The phone has GPS with Google maps , digital compass, and gravity-sensor for navigation. HTC Hero supports popular video and audio formats like MP3, AAC(AAC, AAC+, AAC-LC), AMR-NB, WAV, MIDI and Windows Media Audio 9 MPEG-4, H.263, H.264 and Windows Media Video 9 etc. A new HTC technology called HTC Sense is now introduced in to the HTC Hero. This technology makes it easy for the people to access email ,photos ,internet ,communication ,social media sensibly anywhere anytime from their Smartphone.

Airtel welcomes the HTC Hero to India and brings a special offer exclusively for 100 million Airtel users in India. In the scheme the Airtel user will get a free 100MB data download per month for first six months. Airtel customers will also be able to avail many utility-based applications such as Portfolio Manager, Hello Tune Manager, Weather Channel, Mobshare, In-mobile search and City Search on their HTC Hero.
