It is the turn of European markets to sell iPhone 3G S. Although selling of iPhone 3G S will start from some of the countries of the continent, it is expected to cover the whole continent with in few months. A leaked document on Vodafone’s roadmap states that iPhone will in the hands of the user by June end.

In Italy the mobile phone users will be able to buy the iPhone 3G S for whopping €619 ($860) for the 16GB version and €719 ($998) for the 32GB one. The iPhone 3G S is expensive in italy in comparison to its prices for which the device is available in US states. In the United states the device will cost $599 and $699 for the unlocked 16GB and 32GB models, respectively.
Those who will buy the handset by signing a contract will pay much less then those who will go home with the mobile with out signing a contract. In United States the handset will be available for $199 and $299 after on a contract, while the handset will be available for free in UK on a two year contract basis. The prices of the unlocked phone will jump a little more than that of the locked phone. However, there are countries in which the phone should sell unlocked.
In the iPhone 3G S, “S” stands for “speed”. Sources claim that the new iPhone 3G S will be much twice as fast as the earlier iPhone. The new phone featuring higher price tags will make it interesting to watch its performance in the continent. It is heard that users in United states have started to complain when they learned that the new handset might be available up to $500.
Due to the higher prices of the new iPhone, there are chances the people will switch to another phone which offers similar functionality at lower price. But there are a lot of fanciers, who will not mind spend such huge amounts to get iPhone 3G S.
