Last month LG introduced the world’s first transparent phone into the market called LG GD900. A worldwide technology and design leader in mobile communications,LG unveiled the LG-GD900, at the Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona, Spain back in Feb of this year.
This crystal, glass-like phone proves that stylish design can be achieved not only with the use of vivid colors, but also by revealing the handset in its purest form. This eye catching transparent phone is much popular among people. This is a sliding phone, with translucent keypad, which illuminates a cool glow that reflects the sleek design of phone and its polished silver body.
The GD900 uses the S-Class 3D user interface, which makes it run smoothly on the device. The transparent keypad is the most attractive thing about the phone. The keypad allows allows new multi-touch controls with useful gesture. This multi-touch keypad allows quick launch of various applications too. For instance, if you write W on its keypad, this will cause the Web browser to launch. To zoom in or out on photos, you can pinch with two fingers on the keypad.
LG-GD900 crystal phone has a dedicated chipset for graphics that plays multimedia smoothly and allow easy and smooth transitions between features. The phone has an built in 8 megapixel camera.
Currently the phone available in chrome and titan colors. The phone is available in some countries of Asia and Europe and is expected to cover the rest of the globe soon. Some of the specifications of the phone are given below:
