The first digit of the rating assigned indicates protection from foreign objects. The level assigned to this mobile is 5, which means that the mobile is resistance to much of the dust. Only very fine dust particles will be able to enter the mobile phone. The second digit of the rating indicates protection from the level of water. The rating assigned to Nokia 3720 is 4 which means it is splash resistant.
