OneApp By Microsoft Provides Facebook, Twitter and Lot More On Feature or Low Range Phones

Microsoft recently launched a new application software that allows feature phones to access mobile apps like Facebook, Twitter, Windows Live Messenger and Mobile Wallet. This application has been named as OneApp by the Microsoft. Feature phones consists of mobile phones that are capable of running some appls but lack the capabilities of smartphones.

This OneApp will enable mobile apps to be accessed by the feature phone with limited memory and processing capability. OneApp is a mobile application that allow low-end devices that come at little or no cost with wireless plans. Initial installation of this application is easy and fast as OneApp has on-phone footprint of 150KB.

Amit Mital, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Unlimited Potential Group and Startup Business Accelerato, said OneApp would bring more applications and services to emerging markets served by Blue Label Telecoms of South Africa.” OneApp is a new technology that will reform older ones and help people to do things that they could not do before” , he added.

OneApp is a smart application that provides services to a user according to his/her needs. This means that a user can access their favourite application without even needing to store them on phone. This app also allows to store the favorutie application of a user on his phone. Not only this, OneApp is helps a user in reducing his/her data access charges as it uses data networks efficiently.

The cost for usage of OneApp will depend on telecom operators and other local partners of Microsoft. For example in case of Blue Label, the usage of the program will count against the prepaid data plans.
