Samsung’s Star, Star 3G and Samung’s BeatDJ expanded the list of touchscreen mobiles by the company earlier this year. The Star and Star 3G were launched in response to the LG Cookie series. And today the Star S5233 and Star 3G S5603 are selling like hot cakes all over the country(India).
Samsung Star is a slim mobile phone which is just 11.9mm wide. The compact size of the phone 104x53x11.9mm makes it palm friendly. The phone displays a full QWERTY keyboard when a user wants to type something. It has 3 inches wide LCD display with 262K colors. The aspect ratio for the phone is 16:9. Its auto rotating display switches back and forth to optize the view on the screen.
Samsung Star S5233
Star supports full Web Browsing facilities with easy access to Google Mail, Google Search and Google Maps. Widgets allows a user to customize home screen with embedded widgets like clock, scheduler and other available applications. The phone allows you to take good quality photographs with 3.2 megapixel camera. This camera has a smile shot facility which takes photos only when the subject is smiling. And you can even edit your photos on the mobile itself, thus PC is not required to edit a photo.
Samsung Star 3G S5603 is found to be more successful then the Star S5233. The phone is more decent and is just 2mm wider than S5233 and is only 90gms in weight. The dimensions are 102.8 x 54.8 x 12.9mm, which makes it pocketable. It has 2.8 inches wide LCD screen with 240 X 320 pixels of resoultion.
Samsung Star 3G S5603
The phone has a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED Flash. The interal memory of the Star 3G can be expandable upto 16GB while in Star the internal memory can be expanded only to 8GB. This simple touch screen phone also has a Full QWERTY keyboard for chatting or sending messages.
